Inside AISD New Season Premiere



Inside AISD, Austin ISD’s original monthly television program highlighting district programs, events and staff will premier the first episode of its third season at 6:30pm Thursday September 4, 2014.
Bobbie Greenough, a senior at Crockett High School, hosts this episode.
Inside AISD airs on AISD TV Ch. 22 every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 8:00am as well as being posted to the blog at aisdtv.blogspot.com.

Back to School Bash
On August 16th, AISD and the City of Austin hosted the ninth annual Back to School Bash Celebration and Safety Fair.

No Place For Hate
Austin ISD's Council on Cultural Proficiency & Inclusiveness is proud to announce that AISD has earned the designation as the largest No Place for Hate district in the nation. 

Profile: AISD 2014 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year
The AISD 2014 Principal of the Year, Craig Shapiro, and AISD 2014 Assistant Principal of the Year, Valerie Torres-Solis, talk about their roles as leaders.

2013-2014 Graduation Rates
Graduation rates for AISD have reached an all-time high of 84.1 percent for the Class of 2013, which is a 1.6 percentage point increase from the previous year and nearly a 10 percentage point gain during the past five years, according to the Texas Education Agency's most recent report on graduation and completion rates.


          Great News Highlights:

Blackshear Elementary Fine Arts Academy
Blackshear Elementary opens its doors this fall as Austin ISD’s first elementary fine arts academy.

A+ Federal Credit Union Grants
A+ Education Foundation announced their 2014 Educator Grant Program recipients, which included 33 teachers from 11 AISD schools.

Half-day Pre-K   
This year, Austin ISD will provide a half-day pre-K program for qualifying three-year-olds at Oak Springs and Zavala elementary schools.

First Days of School Visits

Interim Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz visited several AISD facilities welcoming students, families and staff back to school.
