Jamie D. Padron Elementary Dedication
Austin ISD and community gathered to officially dedicate Jamie D. Padron Elementary School.
Applied Technology Center Groundbreaking
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Anderson High School’s new Applied Technology Center.
Guest Speaker-Roberto Rivera
Three AISD schools hosted motivational speaker and storyteller Roberto Rivera. The event was a part of AISD’s participation in the My Brother’s Keeper Initiative.
All-City Choral Festival
750 Elementary, middle and high school vocalists performed in the annual AISD All-City Choral Festival.
Marathon Kids 2014 Kick Off
This year, over 39,000 AISD elementary students are participating in Marathon Kids. The Kick Off event launched the official beginning to the 26.2-mile challenge.
Diploma Ceremony for War Veterans
A special ceremony was held to award belated diplomas to 11 armed forces veterans.
Staff Profile: Diane Tigges, AIEP Coordinator
The American Indian Education Program offers support for students through academic and cultural outreach.
Blackshear Elementary School Beautification
Nearly 300 volunteers including 60 AISD staff members worked to beautify and improve the grounds at Blackshear Elementary School.
