The seventh episode of Inside AISD is scheduled to air Thursday, June 6th at 6:30pm. It also airs on AISD TV Cable Channel 22 throughout the programming cycle as well as being posted to the blog at aisdtv.blogspot.com.

Dobie Pre-K Center Dedication: The Austin Independent School District's J. Frank Dobie Pre-Kindergarten Center celebrated its first graduating class and highlights the school's first-year successes.
Great News highlights: The students in Bedichek Middle School’s Junior Marine Corps earned the spirit award at the 2013 National Middle School Drill Team Championships in Forth Worth. Students in the Bowie High School Color Guard took home first and second place state medals from the 2013 Texas Color Guard Circuit State Championships. Six AISD students participated in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.
Longhorn Leaders: AISD's Kealing Middle School, the University of Texas School of Social Work, and the Greater Austin Crime Commission's UT Longhorn Leaders Program were honored with a state resolution and an Austin City Council proclamation in honor of Longhorn Leaders Day.
Afterschool Showcase: AISD after-school students showcase their talents in the 19th annual Afterschool Showcase. AISD Afterschool provides after-school programs to more than 7,000 students attending 58 schools, including five high schools, 11 middle schools, and 42 elementary schools.
Latino Academic Achievement Awards: The district honored outstanding Latino students in sixth through 12th grade and community members at the annual Latino Academic Achievement Awards.
APIE Celebrate: AISD in partnership with Austin Partners in Education co-hosted Celebrate, an event dedicated to recognizing individuals, community groups and local businesses who volunteer their time, talent and energy to help strengthen Austin schools.
Community Electronic Waste Recycling: In honor of Earth Day, Austin ISD teamed up with ARC and Electronic Recycling and Trading (ERT) to collect, dispose of and recycle unwanted computers, laptops, monitors, cell phones and fax machines. Participating schools in the district hosted outdoor drop-off stations where members of the community could leave their unwanted electronics with adult and student volunteers.
This is a very special episode of Inside AISD as our student hosts, all AISD seniors, host their last episode together. They also share with the audience their plans after graduation. Jessica Rico, from the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders is planning on attending the University of Texas in San Antonio. Gabi Hadad, from the Liberal Arts & Science Academy, plans on attending Texas A&M University. Elijah Blumofe, from McCallum High School, plans on attending the Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College.
