McCallum Alumni kicked off their 60th Anniversary fundraising celebrations with a toe-tapping evening of boogie woogie, Western swing, classic country, jazz, and more with 2-time Grammy Award winner Floyd Domino, and the Floyd Domino Band.
You’ve heard him play with George Strait, Asleep at the Wheel, Merle Haggard, and more. Hear him officially christen McCallum’s newest musical addition – a beautiful, handmade 1952 Baldwin concert grand piano dedicated to the Fine Arts Academy students.
The McCallum orchestra and jazz band students joined Floyd in two finale numbers with original orchestration. An exclusive VIP reception was held after the concert and all proceeds from tickets, VIP reception, and concessions will help fund the piano and other Fine Arts projects.
